Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience with multidisciplinary artist LR Vandy, presented in collaboration with October Gallery. This special event offers a rare opportunity to visit Vandy’s studio, where WAAW World community will see a short  demonstration from the artist and hear the insights into her creative process, material experimentation, and the conceptual narratives that underpin her work.

Following the studio visit, guests will be taken on a guided tour of Vandy’s monumental rope sculpture installed at the Historic Dockyard Chatham. Set against the backdrop of one of Britain’s most significant maritime heritage sites, the work draws on themes of colonial history, trade, migration, and resilience—transformed through the language of sculpture.

This event provides an intimate encounter with one of the UK’s most compelling contemporary voices, bridging past and present through powerful visual storytelling.
